HMS News – 21 January 2013

The fire sale has raised about 85% of the money needed to finish the printing of Total War. An updated and expanded fire sale list is shown below. Added to the sale are more copies of Balkan Front; a second game bundle with a reduced price if you buy War of Resistance, First to Fight, and Balkan Front; and a number of additional game parts, including blank mapsheets.

Note: The prices in this list are good through end of day Friday, 25Jan13, after which shipping costs go up in accordance with the US Post Office’s new schedule of prices – meaning a new fire sale list will go up on 26Jan13. Anything ordered from the fire sale prior to end of day Friday, 25Jan13 that would normally ship via US Post Office will go into mail by noon on Saturday, 26Jan13. If order is received after end of day Friday, 25Jan13 it will only be processed under new price list to be posted 26Jan13. For deliveries to US addresses postal increases are modest, averaging about $1 a package. For shipments outside of the US, however, the increases are massive. Some examples:
Priority Mail International Flat-rate Envelope:
Canada goes from $13 per envelope to $20 per envelope
Europa/Asia/Australia goes from $17 per envelope to $24 per envelope
Priority Mail International Medium Flat-rate Box
Canada goes from $33 per box to $41 per box
Europe/Asia/Australia goes from $48 per box to $60 per box
Priority Mail International Large Flat-Rate Box
Canada goes from $40 per box to $54 per box
Europe/Asia/Australia goes from $61 per box to $78 per box
Similar large increase apply for regular priority mail international and to first class international mail as well. So, if you’re outside the USA and want something from the fire sale, order it by Friday or it will cost a good bit more.

Glad to hear that the magic number is much closer. I am sure the community will rally to support this publishing.
Have you considered making the funding based on “shares”/”kickstarter” in the future?
Got my counters for Total War in the mail last week and they look great.
    The NKVD forces are huge!
The other games are in the mail I understand and should be through customs soon.
I scanned the sheets and would love to share them on Boardgamegeek but not without your permision. May I please be allowed to post scans of the countersheets on BBG?
