counter sample

A round of thanks to our customers. Orders for the unfolded maps have exceeded 225 sets! All of the separate map orders have been sent except 3 that are awaiting mailing tubes (triangles :-). Comments from the folks who have already received their maps have been uniformly positive. We agree with those who feel this has set a new standard for maps at this scale. The number ordered has exceeded our early estimates of interest in the unfolded sets and we will certainly consider doing the same thing with at least part of the next maps we order.

We’ve included images of the printed Total War counter sheet 112 for those folks who asked to see the Red Army heavy tank units again and counter sheet 108 showing the Soviet Winterized and Guards units.

Any chance we could see a picture of the stacks of components that have been printed already? I.e. stacks of boxes from the printer. Thanks, Lewis

  2. Mark Ruggiero says:

so how about the rest of the game when will it ship. Got my maps very nice but need counters rules etc cant wait

Hi, The counter-sheets are nice. But what do the small “pyramids” at the bottom on some of the counter represent? Stacking, brittleness, limited zoc?

Lewis Goldberg – I’ll see about posting pictures of warehouse stacks and
assembly area for our next update.
Mark Ruggiero – We’ll start shipping as soon as we can, but this probaby
won’t be for a few weeks. Still waiting on some components to come back
from printer + we will then have to assemble game. We are folding maps,
sub-collating/assembling the maps into sets, collating countersheets
into sets, and assembling game boxes (they come flat) now while waiting
on arrival of rest of stuff. We are also using this time to verify
shipping addresses for everyone that ordered the game.
Erik K – the triangles at bottom of counters show fragile units.
one triangle = fragile unit with no substitute unit (cannot be rebuilt)
two triangles = fragile unit with substitute unit (when dies, a
different, usually weaker unit goes into replacement pool)
three triangles = breakdown units for fragile units (which are treated
differently than other breakdown units). — HMS/GRD

Got my unfolded maps–WOW! Fantastic job.
Interesting that the counter sheets were copyright 2009….
